Torquay home design ‘Brightside’ rose from the ashes of the property our clients had purchased only weeks earlier, to deliver a home fit for multi generational enjoyment.
Boasting three bedrooms and a rumpus area deliberately placed to the rear of the home, our clients wanted a space to not only age in place but ensure their grandchildren could enjoy into their teenage years and beyond.
A sophisticated coastal palette including breeze blocks and timber was paired with soft greys and a variety of refined earthy tones throughout the interior speak to a love of nature and perhaps refined Australiana. In a shift from convention, the pool space was orientated to the front of the home, to maximise passive solar (no cold, dark and wet areas here!) and ensure the lot could be used ot it’s full potential. Easy transition from kitchen and living spaces to outdoor entertaining allows the home owners to enjoy their northerly deck all year round.
We cannot fault the outcome of the final result… The design ideas that Guy suggested through the planning process were fantastic. We now have our dream home with an outcome that exceeded our expectations.
